In Survivor.io equipment is key, it can provide you with a much-needed boost on your base stats (HP and ATK). As you level up equipment it also unlocks grade skills, these are unique boosts assigned to pieces of specific equipment such as critical damage chance and movement speed boosts.

Armor is one of the 6 pieces of equipment that you will equip your survivor with. Each different piece of armor provides unique boosts that can give you that extra edge when defeating monsters. Knowing which one to equip can depend on a number of factors including your play style and also what level/challenge you are playing in.

What stats does armor affect?

Armor in Survivor.io affects your stats related to the HP attribute. When pieces of body armor reach the blue grade (better) they will start to unlock grade skills which are unique skills/boosts. These grade skills can be unlocked for better, excellent, epic, and legendary levels which can be unlocked by merging your equipment. The Eternal suit and the Voidwaker windbreaker have grade skills that unlock at the green/good grade also.

We will now take a look at the best and worst pieces of body armor currently in the game.

Eternal suit

Eternal Suit

The best piece of armor currently in Survivor.io is the Eternal suit. The Eternal suit is a piece of body armor that focuses on improving your HP stat and providing you with much-needed revivals. The Eternal suit is an S-grade piece of equipment which means that it comes as the purple/excellent grade at its base.

As the Eternal suit comes as the purple/excellent grade three grade skills will already be unlocked. The first (green/good) grade skill is the ability to revive with full HP once after dying, the ability to revive once dying really will give you that extra edge when trying to complete those difficult levels. At the next grade (blue/better) an HP stat increase of +15% is applied.

The final grade skill that is unlocked when you obtain the Eternal suit is a modifier that is applied after reviving. Once you revive your ATK stat is increased by +15% and your movement speed is increased by +15% also.

When the Eternal suit reaches the epic grade a further HP stat boost of +25% is applied. When the suit reaches the legendary grade you gain another revival, this grade skill when unlocked makes this the most powerful and useful piece of armor in the game.

Full metal suit

Full Metal Suit

Next on our list is the Full Metal suit, this piece of armor can come in every grade from normal to legendary. The Full Metal suit focuses on boosting your HP stat and also provides you with a revival and modifier. Whilst it is not as powerful as the Eternal suit, the Full Metal suit is much easier to obtain and level up as it can come in every grade.

The first grade skill that is unlocked when the armor reaches the blue/better grade is an HP stat boost of +15%. When the Full Metal suit reaches the purple/excellent grade you gain the ability to revive once with 50% HP when you die in battle.

When the Full Metal suit reaches the epic grade a skill increase of +10% is applied to your ATK stat and movement speed once you revive. The final grade skill that is unlocked when the Full Metal suit reaches the legendary grade is a further HP stat boost of +20%.

Voidwaker windbreaker

Voidwaker Windbreaker

The final piece of body armor on our list that we consider elite is the Voidwaker windbreaker. The Voidwaker windbreaker is an S-grade piece of equipment which means when it is obtained it will be at the purple/excellent grade at its lowest. The Voidwaker windbreaker focuses on improving your HP stat and also gaining a skill called Berserk which is focused on revival and absorbing HP.

The first grade skill that is unlocked at the green/good grade is Berserk, when you are about to die you will gain HP for 5s based on the amount of skill damage that you do, this resets on revival. The next grade skill is an HP stat boost of +15% which is unlocked at the blue/better grade. At the purple/excellent grade a modifier to the Berserk skill is unlocked. The duration is increased to 10s and you will also be unable to die during Berserk.

When the Voidwaker windbreaker reaches the epic grade another HP stat increase of +25% is applied. When the piece of armor reaches legendary grade the Berserk skill is improved once again by absorbing more HP as it transforms into an energy shield.

Carapace

Carapace

At number 4 is the Carapace, which is a piece of body armor that focuses on improving your HP stat as well as reducing bullet damage. We would consider this a great piece of armor that is ideal in levels that feature enemies that shoot a lot of bullets. The Carapace can be obtained in every grade from normal to legendary.

The first grade skill that is unlocked when the armor reaches the blue/better grade is an HP stat increase of +15%. When the armor reaches the purple/excellent grade it will unlock the ability to reduce bullet damage to 0%. It does this by reducing the damage you take by bullets each time you get hit (-10%) until you reach -100% damage. This is an excellent piece of armor to equip on levels that feature enemies that fire bullets.

When the armor reaches the epic grade a modifier is applied to the bullet damage reduction perk. When the bullet reduction is fully active a storm will be generated when your hero is hit by bullets. The storm will blow away enemies and nullify the bullets that are aimed at your hero. The final grade skill is unlocked at the legendary grade, this will improve your HP stat by +20%.

Army uniform

Army Uniform

The Army uniform is a piece of body armor that we consider good to average. It will have some uses at certain stages but we found it to be less effective than the ones listed above. It focuses on improving your HP stat and giving you the Inspire skill which helps with healing. It can be obtained at every grade from normal to legendary.

The first grade skill is unlocked when the armor reached the blue/better grade, this will give your HP stat a boost of +15%. The next grade skill is unlocked when your piece of armor reaches the purple/excellent grade, this unlocks a skill called Inspire. Inspire can be gained when you defeat an elite or boss in-game, it will heal you 3% every 5s until your hero is hit.

When the armor reaches the epic grade healing is increased from 3% up to 10% every 5 seconds. This can very quickly gain you back to full health but again fades as soon as you are hit. The final grade skill is unlocked when the armor reaches the legendary grade, this will give your HP stat a boost of +20%.

Protective Suit

The Protective suit is next on our list, this piece of armor focuses on improving your HP stat and also producing a radiation ring that can damage enemies. The Protective suit can be obtained at every grade from normal to legendary.

The first grade skill that is unlocked when the Protective suit reaches the blue/better grade is an HP stat increase of +15%. When it reaches the purple/excellent grade it unlocks a radiation ring that sends out a pulse when you are hit. The radiation pulse deals some damage to nearby enemies.

When the Protective suit reaches the epic grade the radiation ring is improved by increasing the range and producing a knockback effect to any enemy that comes into contact with it. The final grade skill that is unlocked when the piece of armor reaches the legendary grade is another HP stat increase of +20%

Traveler’s jacket

Travelers Jacket

The final necklace on our list is the Travelers jacket. After testing the Travelers jacket in battle we consider this the most average of the 7 different types listed above. The Travelers jacket focuses on improving your HP stats, improving your stats on revival by +20%, and the ability to heal after defeating 200 monsters. This can be obtained in every grade from normal to legendary.

The first grade skill that is unlocked on the Travelers jacket is an HP stat increase of +15%, this is unlocked when the jacket reaches the blue/better grade. When the jacket reaches the purple/excellent grade a +20% modifier is applied to your revival effects (improves stats on revival).

When the Travelers jacket reaches the epic grade it unlocks the ability to heal 5% for every 200 monsters that you defeat. This can be useful in scenarios where you are quickly defeating enemies as it can counter any damage that you are receiving.

The final grade skill that is unlocked when the Travelers jacket reaches the legendary grade is another HP stat increase of +20%.
