Let’s start by taking a look at the Engineer card and how it works.

Engineer

The Engineer is an epic card that is part of the Technogenic Society faction in Rush Royale. This card attacks in a unique way and increases the amount of damage they can deal for each Engineer merged and located in an adjacent cell.

Engineers are considered merged when they are situated next to each other on the field, you will see the gears start to turn on their guns are more and more Engineers are situated next to each other. If there was a group of 10 Engineers on the field each of them would receive a bonus for the other 9 units located in the chain.

The aim of Engineer decks is to connect as many Engineers together as possible and then increase their rank.

Talents can take the Engineer card to the next level with the ability to add shields and boost damage output. If you are going to use the Engineer in your main decks in Rush Royale unlocking talents at the earliest opportunity is a must.

Best Engineer decks

There are a number of strong Engineer decks that you can choose from in Rush Royale. We have listed some of our favorites and the strongest below:

Engineer Chemist Deck

  • Engineer
  • Priestess
  • Mime
  • Bombardier
  • Chemist

Deck Tips

One of the most effective Engineer decks that we used saw the unit paired with the Chemist. This deck provided us with a good win rate and was also effective in the Co-Op modes of the game.

In the first stages of the game, your focus should be to fill all tiles that you can. This should counter your opponent’s deck and be able to deal with the first few bosses.

Once you have a number of Engineers on the field the aim should be to connect as many Engineers as you possibly can together. This will result in you being able to boost the amount of damage that your Engineers can deal.

The Priestess unit is used in this deck to generate additional mana, use the Mime to merge any Priestess units on the field. The Bombardier and Chemist units are your support cards that can slow enemies and stun them in place. Aim to have 1 or 2 highly merged units on the field at once for maximum effect.

Engineer Enchanted Sword Deck

  • Mime
  • Dryad
  • Harlequin

Deck Tips

The next deck on our list features the Engineer paired with the Enchanted Sword unit. This deck was generated after selecting a combination of cards that we were curious about whether they would work together. The results were surprisingly good and the deck was fun to play with.

The deck stood out in the Co-Op modes of Rush Royale where it was able to deal huge damage in the later stages of a dungeon.

In the first stages of the game, your aim should be to fill all tiles on the field. This will help counter any attacks from your opponent and be enough to defeat the first few bosses.

The aim is simple with this deck, you are trying to connect as many Engineers together as possible. If you have unlocked talents on your Enchanted Sword try to leave a blue awakened sword somewhere to keep boosting your Engineer cards.

The Dryad unit should be used in this deck to increase the rank of any connected Engineers in your deck. This will increase their attack speed and assist in taking down powerful enemies.

Use the Harlequin to duplicate Dryads or Enchanted Sword units that need merging.

Engineer Bombardier Deck

  • Bombardier
  • Mime
  • Ivy
  • Portal Keeper

Deck Tips

If you enjoy using the Ivy card in Rush Royale then this deck may be perfect for you. This deck was effective in a number of different PvP matches in some of the dungeons we faced.

In the early stages of the game, fill all tiles with cards irrelevant to what they are. You can use your Portal Keeper to position any Engineers that you have adjacent to each other. This should be enough to deal with your opponent’s push and the first couple of bosses.

The Bombardier is used in this deck to stun enemies as they try to pass. If you prefer the Ice Mage/Frost unit you could use them instead.

Use the Mime unit to merge any unwanted cards on the field.

Engineer Vampire Deck

  • Portal Keeper
  • Dryad
  • Vampire
  • Trapper

Deck Tips

If you are further into the game and have unlocked some legendary units then this deck may be ideal for you as it uses the Dryad and Trapper units.

Once you have filled all tiles on your deck you should start to level Engineers and place as many adjacent to each other as possible. You can use a Portal Keeper to move cards around on the field and to remove any negative effects.

Increase the mana level of your Vampire units once you have more than two on the field at once. This will drastically increase the amount of mana that they are able to generate.

The Trapper unit is used to destroy monster’s armor and make them easier to kill. If you do not have the Trapper unit or prefer another type of debuff unit you could swap it out.

Engineer Thunderer Deck

  • Mime
  • Priestess
  • Portal Keeper

Deck Tips

The final deck on our list is ideal for free-to-play players which is a powerful variation to use lower down the PvP ladder.

This deck sees the Thunderer paired with the Engineer. The Thunderer is an attack-minded card that can deal high amounts of damage to enemies. Aim to have one highly leveled Thunderer on the field at once if you have a good chain of Engineers.

Use the Portal Keeper to move Engineers adjacent to each other on the field and remove any negative effects they may have.

The Mime card should be used to merge your Priestess units to gain additional mana. They can also be used to merge any unwanted cards on the field.
