Wheating is one of the best ways to get screws on Hay Day. Wheating involves planting, harvesting, and selling wheat for a low price then repeating the process over and over.
This can be done with any crop but wheat is the most effective as it can be harvested in the least amount of time.
The rewards generated from this method are completely random so you will not always receive screws as your reward.
Mystery Boxes
Mystery boxes and chests can contain screws, you can find mystery boxes on your farm, other people’s farms, and in your town.
The rewards in mystery boxes are totally random. Most mystery boxes can be opened for free, some will require diamonds to open which we do not recommend spending.
Feeding your pets
When you feed your pets on Hay Day you can sometimes obtain a random reward when you wake them. These random rewards can contain screws in addition to XP.
This method is the most effective when your farm is at the higher levels as you will have more pets on your farm. Pets are also simple to feed as they do not require multiple ingredients.
Feeding your farm animals
When collecting your animal’s produce you can be rewarded with random items that can include screws and other useful consumables. After you have fed your animals you will need to collect their produce. Sometimes you are awarded a random item along with XP and the animal’s product itself.
To use this method to the maximum effect we would advise feeding your chickens and collecting their eggs. Chickens are the fastest of your animals to produce their products.

Screws can be purchased from other players’ shops on Hay Day. Look through Greg’s and your friend’s shops to check for any screws for sale.

Screws can be obtained by watching adverts that appear in the Diamond shop. The reward is random and the adverts refresh on a daily basis.
Fishing
Screws can be rewarded randomly when fishing on Hay Day, they can be found in mystery boxes that can be pulled from the lake.
The rewards in the boxes are random but can contain a number of useful consumables for your farm.
The Wheel of Fortune
Spinning the Wheel of Fortune can sometimes reward you with screws for your farm. You will be able to spin the Wheel of Fortune on a daily basis, each day the rewards on the Wheel are completely randomized.
You can use diamonds or the farm pass to obtain extra spins on the wheel.
The Valley
Screws can be purchased with tokens that you earn in the Valley. These tokens can be spent in the Valley shop which can be found in the Valley section of your farm.
