Rush Royale is a fast-paced real-time tower defense game that relies on building a powerful deck to defeat your opponent. In the game, there are a number of currencies that are required to help you progress, obtain and level up your cards. Magic dust is one of the most important in-game currencies when you start to approach the higher arenas. In this article, we will take a look at all of the different ways that you can obtain magic dust, what it is needed for, and where to find your balance.
What is magic dust?
Magic dust in Rush Royale is a special resource in the game that can be used to obtain legendary cards. Once you collect 1000 magic dust you can go to the store and exchange it for a random legendary card.
Magic dust cannot be used to unlock legendary cards you have not unlocked through the arena progress. The legendary card is random by default but you can add faction cores to increase the chance of obtaining a legendary unit from a specific faction. After using the faction cores in the exchange they will be deducted from your account.

How to check your balance of magic dust
There are two different ways in Rush Royale that you can view the amount of magic dust that you currently have in your inventory:
At the top of the main screen
Your magic dust balance is displayed at the top right-hand corner of the screen in the main lobby. The balance has a pile of blue magic dust next to it and can be found on the right-hand side of your gold balance.
In the currency dropdown
Another way to view the amount of magic dust that you have is in the main currency dropdown. You can access this from the main lobby screen by pressing the green arrow to toggle the view of all in-game currencies.
The amount of magic dust is then displayed on the second row on the left-hand side.
How to get magic dust
There are a number of different ways that magic dust can be obtained in-game. Most of the methods are unlocked by progressing in the game and playing as normal. Building up 1000 magic dust does take some time, but by using all of the different methods below, the speed of this can be greatly improved.
We will now look at all of the different methods of how to get magic dust in Rush Royale:
Seasonal item store
Magic dust can be obtained in the Chest of Magic Dust that can be purchased in the Seasonal Items store. The chest will cost a rune key which can be obtained by leveling up in the Season pass rewards.
Additional rune keys can be unlocked for paid players that have purchased the premium season pass.
Career achievement rewards
Magic dust can be obtained from the rewards that feature in the career achievement section of the game. These rewards are unlocked by completing simple challenges, most of the challenges are naturally unlocked by playing the game.
Some of the chests that are rewarded for completing each stage of the career achievements can contain magic dust.
Season pass rewards
Magic dust can be obtained in some of the chests found on the season pass reward ladder. The amount of magic dust inside the chest can vary from x100 – x1000 in the example we have shown above.
If you are able to finish the season pass you gain access to a bonus chest at the end of the ladder. For every 1000 tokens that you generate once the season pass is completed you unlock a bonus chest. The bonus chest contains a random amount of magic dust.
Season chest rewards
At the end of a season, you can unlock season chests that contain a varying amount of magic dust. This reward will be granted to you at the end of the season depending on your highest trophy count for that specific season – you are not rewarded for your final position.
The higher arena you finish in grants you with a chance to obtain higher levels of magic dust.
Special event rewards
Some special events contain a ladder system like the one that can be found in the season pass, the rewards can contain chests that contain magic dust. These can be obtained by both players that have purchased premium passes and ones that use the basic pass.
Paid players will receive more chests on the ladder that can contain magic dust.
Special event store
Some of the limited-time events in Rush Royale contain stores, in some of the stores you can purchase magic dust in exchange for tokens that you have unlocked in limited-time events.
The stores will only be assessable once the limited-time event is active so ensure that you spend your tokens before it closes.
Hero tavern chests
Some of the chests featured in the hero tavern even can contain magic dust, these chests are unlocked as you progress up the ladder in the event. The chests contain a random amount of magic dust and can be unlocked by both paid players and free-to-play players.
If you have paid for the heroic pass you will gain access to additional chests that can be unlocked.
