Card Overview
The Jake Paul Hero is an epic hero card in Rush Royale that was released in May 2023 during the Champions Rumble event. The card can only be unlocked during the event time by winning 3 matches in standard PvP mode. Fragments for the card can still be collected after the event has finished in standard epic hero rewards.
The card has a number of unique abilities that can level up your deck and make it much more effective. Like any other hero card in the game, the Jake Paul hero has 4 abilities or modifiers that are unlocked as you level up the card.
The card is based on Jake Paul’s boxing career and features a picture of him in his boxing attire. This follows through with the card’s abilities as the Super Smash delivers a powerful blow to enemies as they try to pass.
Talents and Abilities
The Jake Paul Hero in Rush Royale has 4 talents/abilities that can be unlocked.
Each talent can be unlocked as you reach certain level requirements:
- Super Strike – Unlocked when you obtain the card
- Hype – Unlocked when the card reaches level 5
- Energy Drink – Unlocked when the card reaches level 10
- Souvenir Photo – Unlocked when the card reaches level 15
Each talent/ability can level up your gameplay and make your hero much more powerful. We will take a look at all of this card’s talents/abilities in more detail below:
Super Strike
Super Strike is the first ability that is unlocked when you first unlock the Jake Paul hero card. Activating this will cause your hero to jump and perform an AoE attack on the first monster on your track.
Merging and increasing any unit rank of any units you have placed down gives you Likes. Each Like that you receive will increase the amount of damage that your hero deals during their attack.
When 40 Likes are received, units’ damage is increased in-game.
Hype
The next ability that is unlocked when your hero reached level 5 is Hype.
Likes increased the damage inflicted by your units on the battlefield. Each Like that you receive increases your unit damage by 0.5%. This is limited to a certain % which can be increased by leveling up the card.
Energy Drink
The third talent modifier that is unlocked when the Jake Paul hero reaches level 10 is the Energy Drink talent.
This skill temporarily increases your critical attack chance for a set period of time for all of your units on the field. The skill also passively increased the critical attack chance of your hero when they attack.
Souvenir Photo
The final skill that is unlocked at hero level 15 is the Souvenir Photo. This levels up your Super Strike skill to the next level.
When Super Strike is activated all of the monsters on the battlefield are captured on camera, this temporarily reduces their armor.
After 40 Likes have been received every subsequent Like can activate a Souvenir Photo as well as a weakened Super Strike in battle.
RR Champion Belt
The RR Champion Belt is a legendary item that can be equipped with the Jake Paul Hero card to inflict extra damage on monsters on the field. This can give you an additional strike caused by Super Strike.
The additional damage that is caused by Super Strike depends on the amount of health the target has and the second attack depends on the amount of health the target is missing. It also increases the amount of damage initially caused by the Super Strike skill and increased the amount of armor reduction caused by the Souvenir Photo skill.
The RR Champion Belt can be obtained by completing all of the collections in the Champion Rumble event.
Pros and cons of the card
The Jake Paul Hero card in Rush Royale has both pros and cons when compared to other Hero cards that you can use in-game. We have compiled a list of all of the pros and cons of using this card in Rush Royale below:
Pros
- Super Strike can help defeat early bosses.
- When Hype is unlocked all units receive a damage increase after getting Likes.
- Easy to first obtain.
- Charge time is fast.
- Fun card to use in-game.
- Suitable to use with all decks.
Cons
- Only available during the Champion Rumble event.
- Can be pricey to level up.
- As the game progresses Super Strike is not as effective.
Overall the Jake Paul Hero card in Rush Royale is fun to use and easy to obtain. We would advise anyone to unlock this card during the event as it is free to do so. The card is also effective with a wide range of decks in the game.
Gameplay experience
We tested the Jake Paul a number of times on both PvP and Co-Op modes of the game, the outcome was an extremely positive one. The card itself is strong when first unlocked and can help you defeat most bosses with Super Smash early on in the game. It can also help you get out of trouble by clearing mobs of monsters from your track.
When Hype is unlocked we found this gave the card extra strength as it boosted all damage of your units on the battlefield. Likes are received by merging and increasing the rank of any of your units on the battlefield, this makes them easy to obtain as you naturally do this during all modes.
The Hero does become slightly less effective at defeating bosses as you start to reach dual bosses in matches. But overall we loved the hero card and would advise anyone to unlock the hero and give it a try.
How to get the Jake Paul hero
The Jake Paul Hero can be unlocked for a set period of time during the Champion Rumble event on Rush Royale by winning 3 PvP matches in the normal PvP mode of the game.
To access the PvP mode select the main screen tab and press PvP. This will take you into a match in your current league or Arena.
Once the Champion Rumble event has ended you will be unable to unlock the hero as stated in the rules below.
Fragments are still obtainable after the event has ended through normal methods of getting epic fragments in-game.
How to level up the Jake Paul Hero
The Jake Paul Hero can be leveled up like any other hero card in Rush Royale. To do so you will need to collect fragments for the card which can be exchanged with coins to level up your hero.
Once you have obtained the card you can collect fragments in the Champion Rumble roulette and also in standard epic hero fragment rewards.
Follow the same process to upgrade any other hero by clicking on the hero tab and selecting the hero you want to upgrade. The upgrade button will be shown in a green color if an upgrade is available.
As stated in the rules and rewards section for the Champion Rumble event ‘ The new Jake Paul hero can only be unlocked during the Champion Rumble event’. They then go on to say fragments can be obtained after the event ‘from the fragments of a random epic hero’. This is great news if you want to continue to upgrade your Jake Paul Hero card once the event is finished.
The image above shows the chances of obtaining fragments for the hero from the Super Prize Roulette wheel. This wheel is unlocked once you have reached 80 Roulette points for the event.
