We will take a look at each slayer’s abilities and also take a look at some pros and cons of using each slayer in Mighty Doom.
So let’s get into it and take a look at the slayer tier list in Mighty Doom.
Slayers In Mighty Doom
In Mighty Doom there are a number of different slayers that you can choose from, each slayer has a range of different skills and abilities that can enhance your gameplay and strategy in the arena.
You will find the slayer section located in the gear section. Here you can change your slayer, level up your slayers, check what skills they have, and also change your slayer’s costumes.
Leveling up all slayers in Mighty Doom is essential. By doing this you will hit milestone bonuses that can provide all slayers with stat boosts that will help you out in the arena.
Slayer Tier List
Choosing the right slayer in Mighty Doom can give you the upper edge and enhance your gameplay once you set foot in the arena. We have created our Mighty Doom slayer tier list after playing with each slayer in the game in multiple chapters, challenges, and events.
- S-Tier: Gold Slayer, The Mini Slayer
- A-Tier: Hailfire Slayer, Marauder Slayer, Doomicorn Slayer
- B-Tier: Zombie Slayer, Jack-O-Slayer, Classic Slayer
- C-Tier: Samurai Slayer, Crimson Slayer
Whilst our tier list provides players with a great outline of the best slayers in Mighty Doom trial and error is one of the best methods that you can use to test slayer performance in Mighty Doom. Each slayer has been designed to enhance certain aspects of the game which may suit certain players and play styles better than others.
If you are struggling on a stage or challenge, it may be worthwhile to switch up your tactics and change your slayer.
We will now take a look at each of the Slayers on our list in more detail starting from the S-Tier slayers first.
Gold Slayer
At the top of our list and the most effective slayer in Mighty Doom is the Gold Slayer. The Gold Slayer can instantly charge your secondary weapon whilst in the arena. We found this to be the most effective ability offered by any of the slayers on our list.
Your secondary weapon is a crucial piece of equipment in Mighty Doom that can quickly assist you in clearing levels and taking out powerful enemies.
- Pros: The ability to instantly recharge your secondary weapon.
- Cons: To unlock the slayer you must spend a lot of diamonds.
The Mini Slayer
Next on our list and continuing in the S-Tier bracket is the Mini Slayer. The Mini Slayer is the first slayer you will gain access to in the game. The slayer has the chance to instantly kill enemies with a devastating headshot in the arena.
We found this ability to be extremely powerful and were surprised by the amount of times it triggered during a chapter.
- Pros: The ability to instantly kill enemies with a headshot.
- Cons: Takes until slayer level 60 to reach its full ability.
Hailfire Slayer
Starting the A-Tier list of slayers is the Hailfire slayer. The Hailfire slayer adds bonus damage while hitting enemies with their elemental weaknesses. We found this ability to be surprisingly effective and massively increased the amount of damage you can deal to enemies.
We think that this slayer is best used once you are struggling at a specific stage. You will need to select the right pieces of equipment and abilities to make the most of the elemental damage.
- Pros: Damage output is greatly increased against enemies who have elemental damage.
- Cons: Only effective against enemies with their particular elemental weakness.
Marauder Slayer
Joining the Hailfire slayer in our A-Tier is the Marauder slayer. This slayer increases the amount of damage and dodge chance whilst your character is in motion.
What is great with this slayer is the ability is almost always active. In Mighty Doom movement is critical, the Marauder slayer fits into this strategy perfectly. Once the slayer reaches level 30 the damage output is increased again which makes it much more effective.
- Pros: Weapon damage and dodge chance are improved just by moving your slayer around the arena.
- Cons: Must be purchased by an in-app purchase.
Doomicorn Slayer
Taking the final place in our A-Tier list of slayers is the Dommicorn slayer. The Doomicorn slayer is a colorful, yet effective slayer that leaves a rainbow trail behind that deals damage to enemies that come into contact with it.
This slayer really started to stand out in some of the later chapters of the game where you could find yourself surrounded by enemies.
- Pros: Rainbow Trail deals a decent amount of damage to enemies and bosses.
- Cons: One of the most expensive slayers to unlock in Mighty Doom.
Zombie Slayer
Starting the B-Tier list of slayers is the Zombie slayer. The Zombie slayer reanimates you after dying but with reduced health and movement speed.
Whilst the ability to reanimate is massively important, the reduced health and movement speed was a massive negative and made you an easy target in battle.
- Pros: The ability to reanimate after dying.
- Cons: Reduced health and movement speed makes you an easy target against enemies and bosses.
Jack-O-Slayer
Next in the B-Tier is the Jack-O-Slayer. The Jack-O-Slayer is a Halloween-themed slayer that can spawn a wisp once killing demons that can track and deal damage to enemies.
The wisp itself can be effective, when we used the slayer we found that the wisp was not activated a great amount of times. It also takes until slayer levels 30 and 60 for the slayer to reach a level where the wisp becomes more powerful.
- Pros: The wisp can track enemies and deal damage to them.
- Cons: Takes until slayer levels 30 and 60 to reach its full ability.
Classic Slayer
The final slayer in our B-Tier slayers is the Classic slayer. We liked the ability that was offered by the Classic slayer but we found this to be ineffective with the strategy that we applied. The ability requires you to take damage to be immune for a short period of time.
The ability can get you out of sticky situations in battle where you find yourself surrounded by enemies. This would suit players who like to get up close and personal with demons but not players using longer-ranged weapons.
- Pros: Can get you out of situations where you find yourself surrounded by enemies.
- Cons: Only suited for players who play aggressively and need to be close to enemies.
Samurai Slayer
The Samurai slayer finds itself in our C-Tier list of slayers. We found this slayer to be one of the most ineffective slayers in Mighty Doom. The slayer charges your ultimate weapon at a faster rate in the arena. Whilst this can help you out against bosses and tough enemies we felt it was not a game-changing ability.
Once the Samurai reaches slayer level 60 it does however become a better option.
- Pros: Ultimate weapons charge at a much faster rate.
- Cons: Takes until slayer level 60 to reach its full ability.
Crimson Slayer
At the bottom of our list is the Crimson slayer. We found this slayer to be most of the least effective slayers to choose from in Mighty Doom. Once your health drops below 25% you will start to deal increased damage from all of your weapons.
Whilst the boost itself is effective, the ability only comes in when your health points are low. This is a risky tactic as you are close to your player being killed and often that was the case.
- Pros: Milestone bonuses can improve all damage dealt by slayers.
- Cons: The increased damage is only effective once your health drops below 25%.
