In Rush Royale, the aim of the game is to overpower your opponent by building deck combinations that can lead you to victory. Like most games, Rush Royale offers a number of different cards that vary in grade from common to legendary that can be obtained and leveled up to create endless deck possibilities.
In this article, we are going to focus on the Plague Doctor and some of the best decks for the card. We will look at a number of deck variations and give you some tips on how to play them.
The Plague Doctor is an epic card that is part of the Technogenic Society in Rush Royale. The card is a debuff unit that infects enemies with venom, once the enemy dies the enemy leaves behind a cloud of venom that damages all other enemies that pass through it. As the card levels up the amount of venom damage is increased as well as the attack speed of the card.
The card should not be used as a main point of attack in a deck but can offer a great support unit in many different decks.
Best Plague Doctor decks
There are a number of strong Plague Doctor decks that you can choose from in Rush Royale. We have listed some of our favorites and strongest below:
Plague Doctor Earth Elemental Deck
- Earth Elemental
- Plague Doctor
- Ivy
- Cold Mage
- Thunderer
Deck Tips
This Plague Doctor deck was our favorite and returned the best win ratio from all of the other decks we tested. The deck also features no legendary cards which makes it ideal for free-to-play players.
In the early stages of the game try to fill all of your tiles with cards. This will be enough to take on enemies in the first wave as you have enough cards in the deck to deal a decent amount of damage.
Your Thunderer, Earth Elemental, and Ivy units are the cards that will be responsible for dealing damage to your enemies. Try to merge these units in-game to higher levels and upgrade their mana levels when you have a chance.
The Plague Doctor is a useful card in this deck as it can assist in collecting a good amount of mana in the early stages of the game. Try to merge your Plague Doctor to a high level to make it effective in the later stages of the game.
Plague Doctor Ivy Deck
- Chemist
- Plague Doctor
- Ivy
- Cold Mage
- Thunderer
Deck Tips
This deck is a lot like the one we listed above, the only difference being the Chemist for the Earth Elemental card. This switches the emphasis and makes your Ivy and Thunderer units your main source of attack. The deck still contains no legendary cards which makes it accessible to every player in the game.
In the early stages of the game try to get a Plague Doctor placed down, this unit alone will be able to defeat the weaker enemies in the early stages of the game.
The Chemist unit is used to weaken enemies by removing their armor. This will help your Thunderer and Ivy units destroy enemies at a much faster rate.
The Cold Mage is used in this deck to slow enemies if they pass, the Cold Mage is a strong card when it unlocks talents and is often overlooked. This unit can be swapped for the Frost unit if you have unlocked talents on the card.
Plague Doctor Engineer Deck
- Engineer
- Plague Doctor
- Ivy
- Stasis
- Trapper
Deck Tips
In this deck, your primary source of attack will be the Engineer and Ivy units. You have plenty of support units that can weaken your enemies in the Plague Doctor, Stasis, and Trapper cards.
In the first stages of the game, you want to try and fill the tiles on the field as quickly as possible. The end goal with this deck is to have a number of highly-merged Engineers linked together.
Try to keep 1-2 highly-leveled Ivy cards on the field at all times. When you reach the later stages of the game the amount of damage the Ivy unit can perform is huge. This can assist in taking down difficult waves and powerful enemies.
The Stasis, Trapper, and Plague Doctor cards are your support units in this deck. They can all weaken/affect enemies in ways that will help you defeat them quicker. Try to have a maximum of 1 highly ranked unit of each in the later stages of the game, this is because you will need your Engineer and Ivy units to deal damage in the later stages of a match as enemies get stronger.
Plague Doctor Boreas deck
- Boreas
- Plague Doctor
- Trapper
- Bombardier
- Vampire
Deck Tips
The final deck on our list features the Boreas card as your main source of attack. We also see the return of some of the first cards that you unlock in the game in the Bombardier and Vampire units.
Use the Plague Doctor to control monsters in the early stages of the match, this can help you generate a good amount of mana to merge your other units to higher levels.
Once you have more than 2 Vampires on your deck you should start leveling up their mana levels. This will start to generate more mana which should be used to upgrade your Boreas units.
Your Trapper and Bombardier units are used in this deck to slow and stun monsters and bosses. This will give your Boreas units more time to defeat them as they pass.
