In Rush Royale, the aim of the game is to overpower your opponent by building deck combinations that can lead you to victory. Like most games, Rush Royale offers a number of different cards that vary in grade from common to legendary and can be obtained and leveled up to create endless deck possibilities.

In this article, we are going to focus on the Riding Hood unit and some of the best decks for the card. We will look at a number of deck variations and give you some tips on how to play them.

Let’s start by taking a look at the Riding Hood card and how it actually works.

Riding Hood

The Riding Hood unit is a legendary card that is part of the Technogenic Society faction in Rush Royale. The card was introduced to the game during the Sinister Party event. The card works by absorbing units of the same merge rank or lower, once it absorbs the unit it receives a charge for each rank absorbed. Each Riding Hood produces mana when another Riding Hood or Wolf absorbs units.

Once talents are unlocked on this card it can take the unit to the next level, making it one of the most effective cards in the game. Both the Wolf’s Nature and Alpha Wolf talents are highly effective skills in battle. Reaching unit level 15 will allow you to unlock the Treats for Grandma talent which maxes out the card’s power.

The merge rank of Riding Hood affects the amount of mana that is granted once a unit is absorbed. The higher merge rank = more mana.

Practicing with this card and selecting what talents work for you are crucial to your success. When testing the card we have been able to build a number of effective decks that resulted in a good amount of wins.

Best Riding Hood decks

There are a number of strong decks in Rush Royale that contain the Riding Hood unit, all of the decks below are suitable for both PvP and Co-Op modes of the game. We have listed some of our favorites and the strongest below:

Riding Hood Witch Deck

  • Knight Statue
  • Summoner
  • Dryad
  • Witch

Deck Tips

One of the most effective decks that we used with the Riding Hood unit uses the Knight Statue and Summoner units. The choice of Hero can depend on your play style but we found the Mermaid, Trickster, and Gadget to be effective.

In the first stages of the battle, aim to fill all tiles on the field with your units. This will help you counter any push from your opponent and should be enough to take down the first few bosses.

Both the first talents of the Riding Hood unit seemed to suit this deck well. The Summoner unit will save you huge amounts of mana as they can create additional cards to be absorbed.

The Witch can be used in this deck to boost damage (with the Gift of the Raven talent) or curse enemy units.

Riding Hood Summoner Deck

  • Knight Statue
  • Priestess
  • Summoner
  • Scrapper

Deck Tips

Another popular Riding Hood deck sees the Summoner and Priestess unit incorporated into the deck. These cards are used with one focus – to save and generate you mana.

In the first stages of the game, you should aim to fill all available tiles on the field. Merge any Summoner units to gain additional units.

The Scrapper units should only be merged together to gain their charges, any unwanted cards should be absorbed using your Riding Hood/Wolf units. This will charge them up, activate the buff, and make them more powerful.

If you have unlocked talents on your Knight Statue we found both of the first talents to work well with this deck. Aim to move a buffed Wolf/Riding Hood unit next to your Knight Statue once a boss or powerful enemy is on the field.

Riding Hood Trapper Deck

  • Riding Hood
  • Knight Statue
  • Trapper
  • Harlequin
  • Dryad

Deck Tips

The next deck on our list sees the introduction of one of the most popular debuff cards in the game – the Trapper. The Trapper works great with the Riding Hood as it can slow targets and remove enemy armor.

In the early stages of the game, your focus should be to fill all tiles. This will counter your opponent’s push and take down the first few waves of enemies.

Once you have survived the first few rounds your aim is to build a number of highly merged Riding Hood units on the field depending on what talents you have selected.

The Harlequin should be used to duplicate Dryad units to boost the merge rank of your Riding Hood cards. Only absorb Dryads if absolutely necessary or if you are in need of an instant buff.

Riding Hood Priestess Deck

  • Knight Statue
  • Priestess
  • Harlequin
  • Dryad

Deck Tips

Generating mana can be an issue for some Riding Hood decks as you rely on placing cards on the field to be absorbed. This deck uses the Priestess card which can generate you extra mana in battle.

In the first stages of the game fill all available tiles to counter your opponent’s push. With a couple of Riding Hoods on the field you should be able to defeat the first few bosses.

Use your Harlequin unit to duplicate Priestess or Dryad units depending on whether you require mana or need to increase the merge rank of your units.

The Knight Statue works well with the Riding Hood as you can position units next to the statue by absorbing units. For maximum effectiveness move your Riding Hood/Wolf units near Knight Statues when bosses enter the field so they remain buffed.
