Mari Hero Card

The Mari is an epic hero card in Rush Royale. The card is part of the epic group of hero cards so obtaining the card is slightly more difficult than common or rare hero cards.

The card works by summoning a slug to your track that can instantly dissolve a number of monsters, the card then summons a large jelly to your opponent’s side that can provide you with mana. Like any other hero card in the game, the Mari hero has 5 abilities or modifiers that are unlocked as you level up the card.

The Mari hero can be used effectively with a number of different decks in Rush Royale. Learning how to use the card to its maximum potential can take time and a lot of practice. Once it has been mastered it can be really effective and worth taking the time to learn its strengths.

Talents and Abilities

The Mari hero in Rush Royale has 5 talents/abilities that can be unlocked.

Each talent can be unlocked as you reach certain level requirements:

  • Major Experiment – Unlocked when you obtain the card
  • Unstable Connection – Unlocked when the card reaches level 5
  • Perfect Experiment – Unlocked when the card reaches level 10
  • Toxic Slime – Unlocked when the card reaches level 15
  • Second Wind – Unlocked when the card reaches level 20

Each talent/ability can level up your gameplay and make your hero much more powerful. We will take a look at all of this card’s talents/abilities in more detail below:

Major Experiment

The first ability that is unlocked on the Mari hero is the Major Experiment skill. This skill throws a slug onto the path which will dissolve a number of monsters that try to pass. The skill also summons a large jelly monster to your opponent’s side that will reward you with mana once defeated.

When the jelly has been destroyed it will provide you with an amount of mana proportional to the wave you are on. It will also send over armor-modifying slime which increases the monster’s armor in PvP and decreases it in Co-Op modes.

As the card levels up the amount of mana generated, armor modification, and bonus jelly health are all increased.

Unstable Connection

The next ability that is unlocked when your hero reached level 5 is Unstable Connection.

Unstable Connection will send an infection into a boss or mini-boss when they appear. This periodically sends out a slime that will cover all monsters in the radius around it.

Perfect Experiment

The third talent modifier that is unlocked when the Mari hero reaches level 10 is the Perfect Experiment talent.

This will give a chance to dissolve a regular monster instantly when it appears during the talent activation. Dissolving enemies with the hero abilities will also summon a small jelly onto your opponent’s path. There is a chance of this becoming a fast jelly that moves at a must faster rate.

Toxic Slime

The fourth skill that is unlocked at hero level 15 is the Toxic Slime skill.

Toxic Slime enables the Unstable Connection skill to destroy the monster’s armor. In addition to this, if you use any of your hero abilities to dissolve enemies to set a slime trap, all of the effects of the Unstable Connection skill will be applied.

Second Wind

Once the hero card reaches level 20 you will unlock the Second Wind skill.

This gives the hero card a chance of obtaining a partial restoration of the Hero ability.

Unstable Jelly

The Unstable Jelly is a legendary item that can be equipped with the Mari hero card to improve the ability of the card and improve the duration and effects of the hero’s abilities.

The Unstable Jelly improves the Major Experiment skill, the Toxic Slim, and the Sticky Ooze by a certain %, the % depends on the level of your card.

Once unlocked, you can equip this item to your hero the normal way you would equip a weapon, amulet, or piece of armor.

Pros and cons of the card

The Mari hero card in Rush Royale has both pros and cons when compared to other Hero cards that you can use in-game. We have compiled a list of all of the pros and cons of using this card in Rush Royale below:

Pros

  • Slime attacks can take out a number of monsters at once.
  • Useful in the early stages of the game when building a deck.
  • Jelly can become powerful and trouble your opponent.
  • Additional mana can be obtained using this card.
  • Can be used effectively with all decks in the game.

Cons

  • The slim attack is ineffective against bosses and mini-bosses at lower levels.
  • The card takes a long time to level up.

Overall the Mari hero card is one of the best and most effective hero cards in the game. This is not the card for you if you are looking for a hero with a powerful attack, in this case, you should choose the Elementalist or Jake Paul hero cards.

Gameplay experience

We tested the Mari hero card in a number of different PvP and Co-Op matches in Rush Royale. To our surprise, the card seemed really effective and was fun to use. We used the card with a number of different deck variations and it was suitable with them all.

A bottle is thrown onto the path

One of the key advantages of using this hero card was the ability to clear the path of monsters once you started to become overwhelmed or once you wanted to apply pressure to your opponent’s side. This was very useful when first starting out in battle if you did not receive many attacking cards to start the match.

A slug dissolves monsters as they try to pass

As the card levels up it becomes more and more effective in-game. To use this card effectively we would recommend holding out until hero level 5 when additional skills are unlocked. At this point, the abilities target bosses and mini-bosses which is a must-need in some of the tougher matches higher up the ladder.

The only weakness we found with this card was when facing bosses with high amounts of HP. The slime attack from the card is not worth using against bosses as it will do little to no damage. You are best saving the hero’s abilities when facing hoards of monsters in-game.

Overall we really enjoyed playing with the Mari hero in Rush Royale. The card is very effective once it has reached some of the later levels and can provide you with some great skills at hand.
